Sculptra FAQs

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable treatment to restore facial volume that has been lost due to aging or other factors. Sculptra stimulates the body's natural collagen production over time, helping to gradually restore volume and improve the skin's overall appearance. It is often used to treat areas like the cheeks, temples, and jawline, as well as to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and folds.

Unlike other fillers that provide immediate results, Sculptra works gradually, with improvements typically appearing over several months as collagen builds up. The effects of Sculptra can last for up to two years or more, making it a long-lasting option for facial rejuvenation. Multiple treatment sessions are usually required to achieve optimal results.

How many treatments will I need?

On average, most patients require a series of 2 to 3 treatment sessions over the course of a few months. The number of injections at each session will vary based on the treatment plan determined by you and your aesthetic provider during your consultation.

When will I see results and how long do results last?

Results may begin to be noticeable within 4-6 weeks after your first treatment but may require a series of treatments to achieve optimal results. Best results will be seen 4-6 weeks after your final session. With optimal treatment, results typically last 2 years.

Will I require follow-up treatments after my initial series is completed?

Although Sculptra results are expected to last for up to two years, it is advisable to have follow-up treatments as recommended by your provider to maintain optimal results.

How much does Sculptra cost?

There are several factors that determine how much treatment will cost, including:

  • Number of treatment sessions needed

  • Number of Sculptra vials used per session

This is something that will be pre-determined during your initial consultation with one of our aesthetic providers. The average treatment ranges from $700-$2,000 per treatment.

What is the recovery process after Sculptra injections?

After your Sculptra injections, mild swelling, soreness, red bumps or bruising may be present. Swelling may last 48-72 hours after injections and bruising can take up to a week to resolve. You may experience tenderness at the injection site for a few days after your treatment. IMPORTANT: You must massage each treated area, FIVE minutes, FIVE times each day, for FIVE days. Arnica gel may be used for massage to help reduce bruising, pain and swelling.
